Colorana - Micronised Iron Oxide Pigments

Produced in Norway by RG Mineral AS, COLORANA® iron oxide pigments are based on natural magnetite from diffferent sources. The magnetite raw material is upgraded to almost pure magnetite by state of the art ore dressing methods before entering the COLORANA® plant.

The COLORANA® process is a continuous operation involving wet ultrafine milling, dewatering and drying. The red product line is processed by thermal decomposition of magnetite.

The final deagglomoration (micronisation) phase involves a unique disintegtration technology combined with highly efficient superefine air classifiers creating a range of high quality red and black iron oxide grades.

The COLORANA® range has been developed to offer increased tint strength improved durability and low oil absorption, compared to conventional synthetic pigments.
