Viaton has been involved with manufacturing and processing of Hydrated Magnesium Silicate (Talc) Fillers and Extenders for more than 40 years.
Viatalc VT grades are manufactured from high quality, low impurity high whiteness natural Hydrated Magnesium Silicate and have been developed for customers in the Paint, Paper, Powder Coating, Ceramics, Elastomer and Plastics (polypropylene compounding) markets.
The Viatalc range was developed to satisfy the exact needs and applications of our customers.
Viatalc products cover a wide range of particle size requirements commencing with a 200 mesh top size talc and concluding with a superfine material with a mean (d50) of below 3 microns.
Viatalc Prime was specifically developed as a cost-effective extender for primers where colour is not so important and has the advantage of low oil absorption ensuring low binder and solvent demand.
A low carbonate content offers durability and acid resistance. The lamellar particle shape affords barrier and crack-bridging properties which ensures corrosion protection.
